Our vision is that every CHSC student graduates with the skills and tools necessary to successfully navigate a post secondary option of their choosing. Our small, supportive environment strives to meet each young person where they are while also holding high expectations for success. Our programming is comprehensive, ensuring students get a small-school environment combined with an abundance of academic and social emotional resources, supports and opportunities. Students can earn credits at an accelerated rate if they are behind; they can participate in internships and/or concurrent enrollment classes and programs to explore and accrue college credits. If they are 17 or older, we offer a GED track for students who are looking for an alternative option to high school graduation. Our 4 day school week Monday-Thursday supports young people's busy schedules, allowing them to work or focus on external obligations on Fridays when school is not in session. Our Student Advocates work closely with students a families to remove barriers so that students can be successful. Our community partnerships offer elective classes in Art, Music, Culinary, and Female Empowerment to name a few. We have Family Nights every Quarter where we welcome families and students to enjoy some good food and resource offerings, as well as connect with teachers and staff regarding their child's progress. We offer sports each season and an enrichment period for school clubs.

Unified Improvement Planning was introduced in 2009 to streamline improvement planning components of state and federal accountability requirements. Based on the Colorado Achievement Plan for Kids (SB212-08), the primary purpose of improvement planning is to align efforts to: Ensure all students exit the K-12 education system ready for post-secondary education, and/or to be successful in the workforce, earning a living wage immediately upon graduation. The School Finder only contains one portion of the UIP, each school's Priority Performance Challenges. To access any school's complete UIP, you can visit: School and District UIPs
