DSST: Cedar Middle School (formerly DSST: Byers), which is part of Denver's distinguished DSST Public Schools network, provides a world-class STEM education. We are committed to being a welcoming community where all people are known and valued. At Cedar, students have the opportunity to explore their identities academically, personally and socially. Together, we work to cultivate relationships and support each other to be our best. Our graduates have the opportunity to pursue their aspirations and positively impact the world. We were rated the top middle school in Denver from 2013-18 and we have been green on state school performance framework ratings since our founding. Last year, we were in the top 10 middle schools in DPS on both proficiency and growth on Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests. In addition to great academic outcomes, we have robust clubs, athletics, affinity groups and student government. Our strong, supportive community and shared core values give students the confidence to take the lead in their studies, athletics and activities, personal passions, college, career and in life.
