Starting in 2021-2022, 5280 High School will limit all new students to its Summit Program, which serves students in recovery from addiction. This change will not affect current students and will only impact new students. The Summit Program is for students struggling with substance abuse or related issues. The Summit Program provides a substance-free, safe, and engaging school environment within a strong, vibrant community. 5280HS is a project-based school focused on hands-on learning and real-world curriculum. Students grapple with complex ideas and engage in authentic learning experiences that produce a great depth of knowledge. 5280 students work in the community on real problems, and produce academic work that builds their resume. 5280 is for thinkers, tinkerers, artists, writers, those interested in STEM fields, and those wanting a smaller school setting with strong, inclusive student culture.
