North High is a comprehensive high school which opened its doors in 1883 and boasts the 3rd highest DPS graduation rate for the past four years. We offer a wide range of opportunities for our 1,700 students to find their passions and interests. We offer 13 AP classes and 20 college classes to prepare students for their future. In addition to our rigorous academic offerings, North has 24 competitive sports, two club sports and a host of clubs and student organizations. As a comprehensive high school, North offers a robust selection of exciting elective courses. We have 4-year pathways for students to dive deeply into music, theater, visual arts and PE as well as five CTE (Career & Tech Ed) pathways including: Graphic Design, Business, Engineering, Audio/Visual and Biomedical Science. North offers extensive student support and personal attention to all students. We have a strong focus on students’ mental health with Advisement, Restorative Practice and a deeply caring staff.North enjoys a beautiful, updated campus in close proximity to downtown, the Auraria campus and surrounding communities.
